This is a free guide to the Bryan and College Station city council and school board races on the November 3, 2026 ballot. It aggregates data from public sources wherever available. It never tells you how to vote.
Who runs it
It's run by one Bryan resident in their spare time.
Who pays for it
I pay for it myself as it's mainly a guide for me to use myself. It costs about $10 a year for the web address. There are no ads, and the guide doesn't take donations.
Who it's not connected to
The guide isn't connected to any candidate, campaign, political party, city, school district, or Brazos County.
How it stays neutral
- Every candidate in a race gets the same set of facts, laid out the same way.
- Candidates are listed in the order the city or school district publishes them, not in an order the guide chooses.
- The guide doesn't summarize what candidates believe or promise. It links to their own websites instead.
- When a city or school district asks every candidate in a race the same questions and publishes the answers, the guide reprints every answer in full, word for word.
- Propositions appear exactly as worded on the ballot, with no summary of either side.
- No ratings, rankings, endorsements, or scores.
- No candidate photos. The guide doesn't have permission to use them, so every candidate gets the same initials badge.
- The guide doesn't contact candidates. Everything comes from records that are already public.
- Every fact footnotes where it came from and the date it was checked.
What it doesn't cover in detail
- Other races on your ballot (federal, state, county, courts, and others) are listed by name only. The ballot page is meant to help you see who is on your ballot and what each office does. The county's sample ballot has every race.
- Campaign money. The guide links to the official page where each city or school district posts campaign finance reports, and does not summarize them.
- How officeholders have voted in office.
- Election results. Brazos County publishes those on election night.
- Your address. The guide never asks for it. To see your exact ballot, use the county's sample-ballot lookup, linked from each ballot page.
If something's wrong
Email corrections@waitwhatelection.org. I'll respond as soon as possible and fix confirmed mistakes as soon as I can. Every correction is listed on the corrections page with the date it was made. A candidate can also ask to have their questionnaire answers removed. The guide will then link to the district's page instead.
